Problem with bookmarks

New Here ,
Apr 23, 2018 Apr 23, 2018

In Adobe acrobat 9 pro, I have always highlighted text & clicked on the bookmark icon in the bookmark panel to create a new bookmark, lately I have noticed that the text in the bookmark is jumbling up letters or missing letters.  The document was a MS word document converted to PDF.

Can anyone offer any ideas as to why this is happening and how to sort it?

Many thanks

Jennifer.

That means the problem is with the file itself and how it was created.

What happens if you just copy the text and then paste it in another application, like Word or Notepad? Does it come out OK?

How are you converting the file from Word to PDF, exactly?

Also, what's your version of Office, and OS version? Acrobat 9 is very old and not compatible with any current OS or Office versions, so such problems are to be expected.

I copied the original text from word to notepad & it copied across without errors.
