I always rely on the Document Page size in the lower left frame bar of any and all PDF windows. For some reason, today it is gone. I have restarted Acrobat, rebooted my machine. I have even deleted the Acrobat preferences and let it create a new preference file. No matter what, this check box clicked or not clicked, does not yield me what I have relied on for many years.
Thoughts please.

Hi All
The issue has been addressed with the new version of Acrobat (23.08.20555) and now we have a preference to enable the scroll bar in Mac.
Please find details for the fix here:- https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/scroll-framework-upgrade-macos.html

YES! I was literally just about to post this exact thing. I depend on this and I took screen shots showing mine had changed as well. What happened to it and how do I get it back? Looking up the document properties every single time is not the answer when before a quick glance gave me exactly what I needed.

Hi @Michael310632523pt2 ,
Thanks for reporting the issue, apologise for the inconvenience caused.
The reason for not seeing the page size persistently is that we have upgraded to a modern scroll framework. Page dimension would only be now visible on hovering on the bottom left corner of the page. This enhancement is applicable only for Mac. Please find more details on the page. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/scroll-framework-upgrade-macos.html.
Please let us know if you don't see the Page dimensions on hovering.
Thanks,
Abhinav Sethi

Thank you for the answer and the info, but I am not happy about it.
At first I was going to reply that not matter how I hover over the bottom left corner it does not show page dimensions. Then I decided to turn OFF the preference to "Always display page size" and who knew, it now shows page dimension when you hover. Quite a bit counter-intuitive !
I don't see the benefit of the change by Abobe, maybe some day I will. I just know that somethubng simple and stupid make more of a PITA when I compare documents side by side!

I agree wholeheartedly! This was a setting I have been using for years, and I don't want to have to move the mouse to check something I used to be able to see just by opening the file. A quick look was all I needed; close the file and move on. Now I have to actually move the mouse over to get it to show up.
And yes, why is the preference not only still there and turned on, but also now blocking it from allowing the hover (the only way to look at it) from working properly?
This was a heavy-handed change to something that was working properly and was well-used, meaning it was an unnecessary change.

It really is a pain. Not sure if it's related but my scroll bars are no longer showing either. I've read the blurb and they think by adding the word 'modern' that some how that means it is better.

Worst update ever. Adobe please sort this out, it's more than an inconvenience!!!!!!

Thank you for telling us how this stupid update works. This is the most frustrating thing ever! I have spent more time trying to figure this out than I would normally spend checking jobs. This is extremely frustrating!

Nobody asked for this change and it is horrible. I too rely on this info all day daily. Don't want to hover to see it. I want it to be the way it's been for years!!! Actually while you are busy (hopefully putting it back), try making it a little bigger or an option to make it more visable somewhere. Really I don't understand why you mess with something so important.

Right? I receive files from clients all day and enjoyed just being able to open the file to see the size without mousing two displays over to hover for info that has a preference I've set correctly for my needs. I need more convenience, not less.

I agree completely! This is completely ridiculous. I don't want to hover to see something I naturally look to every single time I open a PDF. So not happy with this "helpful" change. 😞

I totally agree with everyone, this is absolutely stupid! I would like to instantly know the size of the PDF, not to have to 'hover'!
The person who has done this obviously DOES NOT use Acrobat.
Listen to your customers Adobe, put it back..., please!

The "hovering" method wouldn't be so bad if it showed the correct dimensions. Previously the "always on" page dimension was the trimmed size of the PDF, now it shows the media size which could be anything and is of no use at all in a fast-moving production environment. Please change it to the trimmed size or restore the always-on page dimension box.
On a side note, it's also affected element selections when using Pitstop. It only shows the selection when the PDF is displayed at 100% or "fit to screen", but when zoomed in the selection is not visable.

Hi moznov. In my experience, I believe it always showed "Media size" in the lower left. Acrobat wasn't smart enough to put the "Trim"" size there.
But I do have a question, as I use Pitstop everyday, not sure what your comment means about Pitstop. Are you on a Mac, I assume. Could you send a Screen Shot ? I don't see any of my Pitstop tools in the lower frame bar. Thank-you. Mike

Hi Mike. I didn't even know the size hover function was there as I've always used the permanent size box, lower left. You live and learn as they say. Even so, the hover function is of no practical use in a busy Prepress environment where you need to know the trim size of pages. Why have Adobe left the checkbox in the Preferences if they've removed the funcion itself?
As to Pitstop (yes I'm on a Mac), when you select any element on the page you can see what is selected with the selection indicator handles (see full sized page), but if you zoom-in on the selection the selection handles disappear, even though the elements are still selected, as seen in the Pitstop Inspector window. This makes it very difficult to select very small elements on the page and has only happened since the latest update. Kevin.

Ah, I see it in your screen shots. I am an avid Pitstop user and have never noticed that. Mine does it as well bc I just checked. But I am not seeing anything in the Acrobat lower menu bar. Is that what your previous reply meant ? Something is in the menu bar ?

Hi Mike, I'm not sure what you're asking as I didn't mention anything about a menu bar(?)

I am having the same issue, and Pitstop's trap editor and trap viewer are no longer showing me the traps unless I move Acrobat from my main monitor to one of the side monitors I use. If I move the trap editor tool to a different monitor, it will show the traps, but they are offset on the page, and don't represent where the trap would be, effectively rendering them useless. This was not an issue prior to this new update, which, coincidentally, I didn't run. I checked but did not see that I have Acrobat set up to automatically update, so this just futher frustrates me. Everything (including our beloved page size) was working fine yesterday, and now everything appears to be broken unless I can discover a work-around. WHY?

I wonder if Enfocus will be putting out an update for Pitstop soon.

Enfocus just sent out an email encouraging Mac users not to update to the current Adobe Acrobat and explaining the problem with selecting items. A bit too late now!!
FROM ENFOCUS: "We have reported the issue to Adobe, and are in discussion with their engineers on how to resolve the issue. Please be assured that we will resolve this issue as soon as possible. When there is a fix, we will let you know via email. "

How is this an improvement? So, now instead of glancing at the bottom left of my screen to check the size I have to hover and hope it pops up?
