I always rely on the Document Page size in the lower left frame bar of any and all PDF windows. For some reason, today it is gone. I have restarted Acrobat, rebooted my machine. I have even deleted the Acrobat preferences and let it create a new preference file. No matter what, this check box clicked or not clicked, does not yield me what I have relied on for many years.
Thoughts please.

Hi All
The issue has been addressed with the new version of Acrobat (23.08.20555) and now we have a preference to enable the scroll bar in Mac.
Please find details for the fix here:- https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/scroll-framework-upgrade-macos.html

Celebrating getting basic functions back as if it's a sign Adobe are listening or understands why their core user base is so angry.... While still swallowing the broken scroll bars and appalling kiddy new GUI. Some people have serious Stockholm Syndrome

Yes, same problem here - this update is a mess "Turn off the always show. . .to always show" - yep, makes lots of sense.
Performance when zooming and scrolling in large hi-res documents is super slow too - is it this "modern scroll framework" that absethi causing it - its ridiculously slow and needs fixing.

I second that! Not as easy to use for preflight/prepress AT ALL.

I've also noticed how near impossible it is to zoom in on most documents now, slows me down to a crawl, it started with this update so I'm sure it's related.

GG_Dynamix, thanks for noting this OTHER particular frustration:
“Performance when zooming and scrolling in large hi-res documents is super slow too - is it this "modern scroll framework" that absethi causing it - its ridiculously slow and needs fixing.”
I honestly thought that my iMac was to blame (AGAIN!), but nope... When I zoom in too far, my screen just continuously blinks and sputters pixels, trying over and over to redraw an image that never fully materializes... thank you Adobe, for not disabling good ole “force quit”! (...Oh crap, that’s next now, isn’t it...?!)
Adobe, are you having a hard time reading all of your own coding PDF’s to figure out how to fix all this!?!

HA! Funny you should say that. I had to force quit the program due to this glitchy-ness last week and the window would not close off my screen no matter what I tried. I had to hard restart everything. This program is broke.

When I zoom in it takes a while to redraw. I thought it was the files but it happened a lot. I thought it was my Mac Pro.

Thank you, hopefully at some point we can get scroll bars back as an option, as well as some general performance enhancements and pitstop functionality.

Yes! I would love to have my scroll bars back. Can that not be an option to select on or off as a user preference? Please?

A MILLION THANK YOUS!!!! It's such a simple thing, but it really matters.
Is there a way to get my scroll bars to show up? Was that also part of this fix?

seems not … but maybe they're listening??

The document size bug is fixed for me - many thanks.
Performance with larger hi-res documents is still the same - zooming and scrolling is unusable.

excellent, have updated, happy to see the hover style page size view is made persistant, can roll this out to other users without issue.

Thanks. But can you also give us back scroll bars. Just yesterday, I was trying to review a document while zoomed in. I had to use the scroll wheel on my mouse which is less precise than being able to click once in the scrollbar and have it jump one screen.
And let me please see my whole page even if I have rulers on. I have to turn off rulers if I want to see the whole page. WTF? This is illogical. Please continue working on this.

Still seems tiny to me but at least it stays there. Now to fix the tabs at the top we can see the whole file name....

Along with the tabs AND the scroll bars…
Maybe somebody can tell me why Acrobat and InDesign will crash for no reason at all…DAILY.
Probably my M1 and Ventura 13.6. To make us feel better, there is always the pop up crash report that had never come back with a reason for the crash. But I feel better reporting it.
