"Disable new Acrobat" is not a feature of Acrobat 2024 Classic Release for Mac

I just got off an extended chat and screen share with Adobe support. "Disable new Acrobat" is not listed in the View menu of Acrobat 2024 Classic Release for Mac. The support rep tried in vain to fix it. He obviously did not know the feature is missing. After driving my computer he basically said "that's the way it is". Anyone else seeing this issue? Can Adobe address it? I can dream, can't I?

I just installed Acrobat Classic (Acrobat 2024 – Classic Release 2024.001.30246) on Windows 11. The “Disable new Acrobat” option is also missing in main menu (hamburger menu).

I have tried a few things… but they have not worked so far. I can’t spend hours trying to make the software work as it should. I would like to find a solution (otherwise, it is back to Acrobat Pro 11 or finally giving up on Adobe.)

Would it not be normal for users to have – somewhere – a list of included features in the software they buy? Some kind of information on features removed, when, etc.? Even Adobe support does not seem to know if feature was removed.

Yes, it would be normal for a software company to have such a feature list. Adobe is no longer primarily a software company; they are a subscription/licensing company. It is more important for them to make sure you subscribe that it is for you to get software that "just works". They obviously have no clue that releasing a "classic" version of software with an exclusively new NON classic interface is simply wrong.

I agree. The situation seems hopeless with Adobe. No support, no information… For now, I will go back to Acrobat 11 (I have quite a few licenses) … I will have to start looking for a decent PDF replacement (very happy with CorelDraw since Illustrator went all subscription).
