"Free trial" window suddenly keeps opening on an up to date subscription account

I have Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. The subscription is up to date in payments. Without warning now, everytime I open the program app, a message comes up offering me a Free Trial -- there is no Already a Subscriber/Log In link, and when I try to click the Sign In button on the main window, the whole thing disappears, making the program useless in that moment.

What I wanted to do was add an image so I decided to open the actual account in a new browser tab and see if I could use the program online. The Edit function lists "edit text and images" but when I go in, there is absolutely no function indicated for images, only text.

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

We did check your account and found that you have an active subscription to Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.

The reason why you are getting a Free Trial is that you must be using Acrobat Pro DC instead of Acrobat Std DC.

If you have Acrobat Pro DC then uninstall it and download the setup for Acrobat Standard DC from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Once done, Sign In with your Adobe ID and password.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Mind is crashing. I keep getting a pop up to buy or do a free trial, and unable to view normal docs. I tried downloading the standard and it still doesn't work.

The same keeps happening to me. I signed up for the free trial and the free trial window keeps on popping up.

I DO have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, as it is the software that I need. Why would I install Std, when Pro is better?

And I forget my Adobe sign in ID and password.

Hello,

I have the same issue...yet your suggested fix dioesn't seem to work.

I even uninstalled my exisiting Acrobat and then installed the Acrobat Standard DC from the link you provided.

Yet whenever I open the program it still prompts me to "Buy" or set up a "Free Trial". If I click away from these options, the program closes.

My account is paid monthly and is up to date.

All was working fine until yesterday when this issue suddenly appeared.

It seems this community is the only available Adobe support...there's no support line to call and the chat leads only to this community.

Please advsie.

thanks,

Cory

@Brian38853526isj6 @cory_3876 if the 'pop-up' is saying to either start a free trial or trial has ended, and you have bought Acrobat Pro, then you need to uninstall any prior version of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Standard. Wipe clean. Then go to your adobe account and install the Acrobat Pro.

How and when to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool

Seriously, wipe Acrobat clean from your compyter first with the Adobe Cleaner not some other third party cleaner
