Hello,
We are trying to build an index catalog for over 10,000 files, ~100gb, and we are building this on a hard drive that has 186gb free space, however, after trying to build the index, an error "Insufficient disk space" pops up. We have been able to build indexes at smaller files/filesizes.
Are there any requirements where the storage space needs more than 86gb free to build the index or is something else required that we are missing that would cause this error?
We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Maybe the issue is not the space available for the entire hard drive.
From what you've described it looks more like lack of enough space in the temporary cache folder where the files are stored temporarily while the program executes the indexing operation.

Thanks for the response! We scoured our computer files for a temporary cache folder but do not see one. Do you know where it's located or what it's called? We are looking in the AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Acrobat/DC folder and I don't see anything in there that has temporary folders.

Hi,
Just checking if you were able to sort this out.
Somehow I forgot to follow up with this topic, so my apologies.
To answer your question, the AppData is indeed a temporary cache location.
But it is worth noting that the user profile use local user profile AppData folders, while the operating system saves to other temp folders.
See if this link is useful:
I normally clean manually all temp folders periodically.
