"Prepare Form" tool is not available in an existing fillable form--only "Create Form"

Explorer ,
Jun 14, 2022 Jun 14, 2022

I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro on a fillable form I previously created. When I reopened the form yesterday to work on it, it is functioning properly (fields are fillable, drop downs are able to be selected, pages are spawning, etc.), but when I go to edit the form only "Create Form" is available from the toolbox. The "Prepare Form" tool is not available. I tried opening other fillable forms as well and the same issue ("Create" instead of "Prepare"). I tried another computer and the "Prepare Form" tool is available for these forms. Do I need to uninstall/reinstall the program on my computer? If so, how do I do that? Is this a common glitch? Are there any other fixes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Slaron,

I hope you are doing well. I am sorry for your experience with Acrobat Pro DC.

On the tools pane on the right-hand side, can you search for the option of Prepare Form? If yes, try clicking on it and check if you can edit the form.

You may refer to the below image for more:

Let me know if it helps.

Thanks,

Yes! That worked!! Is this the only way I will be able to access "Prepare Form" in the future?

Thank you for your help!

@slaron

Hello,

Thanks for letting me know that it helped.

The other way you can go about it is by clicking on the More Tools icon on the same tools panel and then select the Prepare form option.
