Hi there,
Last Thursday 30th September I had an onscreen message saying Adobe Acrobat was being updated. After this was finished I create a PDF and random lines of text are being deleted.
I then unistalled, shut downa nd restarted and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat and this problem went away.
My manager encoutnered the same thing the day after me.
Today Tuesday 5th October I received the same onscreen message saying Adobe Acrobat was being updated. I created a PDF and it continues to delete random lines of text. I uninstalled, shut down and restarted, then reinstalled Adobe Acrobat and it is still deleting random lines of text.
Can somone please helpme fix this issue? I have dealines to meet for our customers.
Cheers,
Bryan

Hi Bryan
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, Random text being deleted when you create a PDF.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.07.20095 (Win), 21.07.20096 (Mac) installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF file? A small video of the same would be very helpful.
Are you on Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the OS? Please check for any missing/pending updates and check. Also try to repair the installation (Windows Only) from the help menu > repair installation and reboot the computer once.
If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html reboot the machine once and reinstall the application using the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Hello,
I'm experiencing the same issues as well. I have the latest version of Adobe, 2021.007.20095, and I am using a Windows machine. I currently have a subsciption to Adobe with the Creative Cloud. I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat and reinstalled, but I am still experiencing lines of text and headers disappearing in my PDF when I convert from a Word document.
I convert the Word file to a PDF using the Create PDF button on the Acrobat tab in Word. I unchecked the Enabled Accessibility and Reflow with Tagged Adobe PDF option, which brought back the missing lines of text, but this option is useless as I work in Accessibility and need the document to be tagged properly. Adobe's AutoTag option creates more probelms with Accessibility and more work on my end.
Prompt help with this matter would be greatly appreciate.
Thank you,
Sarah

This was not happeing with the previous release. Hopefully this can be resovled very soon.

Thanks Amal,
Until there is a proper fix in place, I have been using the work around like Sarah, I unchecked the Enabled Accessibility and Reflow with Tagged Adobe PDF option, which brought back the missing lines of text. This is not ideal, but it has helped me get the dooucments out to our customers.
I have shared it as requested. Please let me know if there is anything esle you require.
Cheers,
Bryan

Why is this still happening in September 2024? I spent 5 hours yesterday fixing the text in my pre-published book, only to wake up this morning and find that random parts of words throughout my 190 page book are missing. I have to redo everything, and don't have confidence that when I send back to my layout person that it won't glitch again. This is extremely frustrating. What is the fix?
