Hello!
I recently purchased Readiris Pro 17 OCR software and I'm wondering how to add it as an add-in to my Acrobat Pro 2020. The coding built into Acrobat isn't very helpful, so I'm hoping to make the most out of Readiris Pro. During installation, the program detected my Microsoft Office Word and HP Color Laserjet printers along with their drivers. I now need to add them to Acrobat Pro to ensure full functionality. Any suggestions?
Thank you!

You should contact the support for this plugin.

LOL. Who do you think sent me here?

Well, it's their responsibility to make sure their product works for their customers. I suggest you go back to them and demand a solution. If they can't provide one, ask for a refund.

I am not a corporate customer. I reached an entry-level off-shore person who agrees I need their support, but before he can transfer me to them, I have to pay a service fee. I think he said it was $50 for a one-time call. It's a racket. Plain and simple. I appreciate your input, but I've already been there and done that. I don't want my money back. I want the fully functional program I paid for!
Thanks.
Greg

Well, I can't help you. Maybe someone else can.
Good luck.

That sounds like a scam, by the way. Did you try to contact them via their website?

The whole thing costs about $100. It can't be that a single support call costs half that!

Have this software a plugin for Acrobat?

Acrobat 2020 has Readiris 16 as its OCR built into it. When I performed the Readiris upgrade, it uninstalled version 16 and then installed version 17. It's been a problem ever since. I have a techie from Readiris that is supposed to call me early tomorrow to help sort this out.

Adobe has been of absolutely no help at all. I have not received even one helpful comment or suggestion in this thread. And now Adobe is messaging me, wanting me to declare one of you the solver of my issue. LOL
After much back and forth with Readiris, they solved the problem, and I now have the new Ver. 17 working with my Acrobat flawlessly. The latest version of Readiris is excellent and correctly identifies both images and characters without distortion. Good luck to all.
