I am on a mac and using Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 2019).
When I open up a pdf and edit the pages, by removing at least one, and then save the document the created date (from the finder window, so the created date in the metadata of the document) gets updated!
This is causing my document to get stamped with the same modified date and created date and doesn't show any changes were made just because pages were removed. I CANNOT replicate this on a windows machine.
Any help or advice or changes I can make to have this stop happening will be much appreciated.
Thank you!

How about the PDF metadata in Properties?

So after testing again, the metadata in Properties actually does NOT get changed. It only changes it locally on my Mac finder window location. That seems rather odd. Shouldn't the OS pull from the properties of the file itself?

Not necessarily.

Well, then this does appear to be a Mac OS issue and not anything with Adobe. Thanks for your help!

Finder Shows the date on the file itself rather than the PDF metadata, I'm 99% sure. What probably happens is that, to make the save safer, it writes a new file, then deletes the old and renames the new. This may well work differently between Mac and Windows. (I have a feeling that in Mac an app can't reset the file's creation date, but on Windows it can).

So I'm trying to work with Mac support but haven't gotten anything from them yet. I'm curious where this "bug" lies still.
So do you think that the situation (assuming this is the case) of writing a new file and then deleting the old one is what ADOBE is doing? Or is the OS making that decision/process?
Also, what seems odd is it doesn't do this every time. I've only been able to reproduce when removing pages.
Here are the steps and screenshots showing the process.
I download the PDF from the web, at which point it correctly gets stamped with a modified date and created date of when I downloaded it. I then make some simple edits to the fields in the PDF and then save it. It correctly updates the modified date to when I saved it.
I then open up the PDF again, and this time I delete the second page of my PDF document. I save it again. This time though the modified date AND the created date get updated to show the time I saved.
Thanks a lot for your help so far!
