Every pdf I save seems to be one long page and virtually unprintable! I need to repaginate these one-long-page pdfs into 8-1/2 x 11 printed (or saved) files as full-sized text not miniaturized in one long page!! This is infuriating!!

Adobe Acrobat Pro

I think we need to look at exactly how you are making these PDFs. It is not usual for PDFs to be one long page, and there is no simple way to fix it if happens. Please take us, step by step, through how you make your PDF (mention the other apps concerned if any, and what buttons you click etc.)

Great! I really did not expect this kind of interest. What I have is a LOVE / HATE relationship with Evernote. I am a Scientific Researcher for a BioMedical R&D Facility. I need to keep a large amount of material in a searchable format. I have not found a suitable replacement for Evernote, but I am LOOKING HARD!! Everynote dropped the ability to convert saved web sites as .pdf several versions ago! I now only use the Legacy Version which still has the Save To PDF capability. It is this feature that saves the files as a long, one-page .pdf which is not only unprintable but also unreadable except with Acrobat Pro. If I could find a workable substitute for Evernote (don't say One Note, it isn't workable either) then I could probably fix my problem.
What is do in Evernote is ... heavily edit materials in Evernote. I repaginate, resize type and layouts, strip out all ads, rework photos in Photoshop, reposition and resize everything. I NEVER save an entiere web page, exactly as I find it on the Internet. I need to distill web sites into "just the facts" as efficiently as possible. No other application I have ever found originally fit my needs as much as the OLD version of Evernote. So I keep trying using the old Legacy version. No Evernote has been sold and new owners are significantly raising their prices, so I will undoubtedly migrate all of my materials to another program. Any suggestions would be as helpful as would the ability to repaginate .pdfs.
I have been "ON" Adobe for some time about making their Acrobat do more of the things I do with Evernote. I know I am not the only one doing what I do for research, but Adobe .pdfs are ALMOST impossible to edit the way I need. Their best suggestion is to save .pdfs as MS WORD documents and then resave as .pdfs. Editing in WORD does not work! Does not work ... anywhere near as good as Evernote, but alas "they have changed it (Evernote) so that it no longer fits my needs (at any price).
Here is the URL to a web page I saved in Evernote: https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/10/18/covid-variants-xbb-bq1-bq11/
Here is what my rework of the article looks like in .pdf: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B21uOkecrLCOan9US2VJwYQJNJ42tSjg/view?usp=sharing
I do this type of editing all day, every day. When I send colleagues the .pdf they frequently can' read it and it won't print out. QED.
Any (ALL) suggestions ? ? ?

There are many utilities that convert a web page into a single PDF page, regardless of its size.
I use FireShot every day.
You should print (paper or PDF) as Poster.

Acrobat was also doing this until version 8.
I've never understood why this WebCapture function has been removed since version 9, although it was handy.
