restore PDFs from last session

Community Beginner ,

Where does Acrobat Pro DC (2019.012.20035.4663) stores the filenames and there paths for reopening at use of "File" reopen PDFs from last session"

Background:

Acrobat sometimes has trouble to open all files an only shows a pop-up dialog telling there is a problem, but not on which file or path...

Idea:

Manfully look up this data where it is stored...

I expect two categories : last session opened files and this session (actually) open files

I found the location:

HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\SessionManagement\

containing the subfolders

cWindowsCurrent\ - for the current session

cWindowsPrev\ - for the previous session

blow the folders for the different Windows : cWin\

and blow for each opened PDF a separate folder cTab\

and cPathInfo  - containing the Path information of each file

  • aFS: The file system for the path, such as DOS.
  • sDI: A string of device independent path. Coded hexadicimal
  • tDIText: The device independent path again in Unicode.

tDIText - is the path in readable form similar to  sDI.

What is the use of the use of doubling the info?

Hi Tsfg,

Apologies for the trouble caused, as described above you are experiencing difficulty with restore PDF from the last session, correct?

The files are stored in the temperory memory of the machine, you may check it under the temp folder.

You may also, refer to a similar discussion here  - Clearing the last session

Hi Amal,
you may see my bugreport (https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/38388658-open-la...) for more details.

The links you provided doesn't answer my question.

I just want to know, where the session information is stored. The concrete file or location.

I expected an answer like [%APPDATA]\......\...\... or registry.

I'm looking forward to your answer.

Regards,

Henning

Hello ls_rbls,

thanks for your contribution and the link to the related thread.

Could you please specify more in detail which post you mean? I'm not able to see the information I requested
I wanted to know,as I wrote, the location (either file oder reg path) where Acrobat stores the current and previously opened files.

The update is actually not available for me (German installation on Win)...

I forgot to add that there was  an update this week to Acrobat Pro DC (2019.012.20036) plus a Security Bulleting announced 24 hours ago addressing vulnerabilities.
