I am creating a catalog with index feature for a group of OCR'd PDFs so we can search all the documents. I have a couple of questions:
1) There will be potentially thousands of documents - some spanning over 100 pages each - so was wondering if anyone knew if there was a limit to file sizes or number of PDF's for the Indexing feature? We are thinking of grouping PDFs by categories, but I want to have a good understanding of the restrictions for this tool.
2) Can you index PDFs in multiple folders, such as having the index file outside of a group of folders with PDFs and have it still work?
Thank you!

A question back to you: how do you intent to give access to the people who will need to search? Checking in case you expect to be able to stick all this on your web site - you can't.

This will be via CD's and will not be accessible on the web.

Yes, you can index the whole CD content.
my advice is to create a "home page", previously linked to the index (File menu : Properties : Advanced), whose only purpose is to automatically display the advanced search window to the user.
