Right-click option no longer available for word.docx files on Adobe Acrobat Pro to create PDF

I have recently had Adobe Acrobat pro re-installed onto my laptop after a rebuild. Before the rebuild I could right-click on a word.doc or word.docx file and the message convert to PDF would appear and I could convert the file, since the re-build I only have this option when right-clicking on a word.doc file, this option is no longer available for word.docx files, would anybody know how I resolve this?

Hi Paul2921524149gs,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please check if you can create the PDF from the Acrobat application. Launch Acrobat and go to File > Create > PDF from the file. Check if you get the .docx in the supported file list.

Share the screenshot of the following settings: Go to Edit > Preferences > Convert to PDF.

Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers on the machine.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi,

Can you confirm the version of your operating System, Office and Acrobat?

Can you make sure they are all up to date?

Sometimes, creating a PDF using the Adobe printer from Word's doc file will force the system to recognise it and add it to the context menu.

Is MS Word associated with doc files in 'Choose a default app for each type of file' in your settings?
