Rotating pages bug

Every time I go into the Organize Pages tool and try to rotate pages, it will rotate a couple times and then exit out of Organize Pages, making me have to reopen the tool and find my place again. This is getting really frustrating. What is happening and how do I make it stop?

Hi @charade53931154028eg3t
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20244 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

It happens with every PDF I've ever had to rotate pages on.

It is stored locally.

Here is a screenshot of my version.

I cannot do these as this is a work machine and I would need to contact IT for admin privileges. If there is an option before that, I would like to try that instead.

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.
- Have you started experiencing this issue after updating the application or Windows?
- Are you working with the desktop application Adobe Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Online Web? If on the desktop app, try rotating the page using Acrobat online service and see if that behavior is the same.
- Please check with a different file, and see if that causes the same issue.
-
Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)
To download the patch manually, more information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader
- For better understanding, please share a screen recording of your workflow.
Thanks,
Akanchha

This has happened since I started using this machine at work. It's a long time issue and I've just finally gotten frustrated enough to ask about it.

I cannot use the online service. This is a work machine and I have to use the software I was given.
Please check with a different file, and see if that causes the same issue.
This happens with every pdf I've ever had to rotate pages on.

I don't have screen recording software as this is a work machine and I work with sensitive documents.

Take a non-sensitive document for the demonstration. As for the screen recording, you will need the support of your IT.
As a side note: as you seem to be part of a bigger organization: Did you try using a different computer for a test?

This has been an issue over multiple machines for multiple years and multiple versions of adobe. But it's fine. I've given up on getting you guys to acknowledge a bug. I'll just keep dealing with the problem since it clearly won't be fixed.

Hi there
Sorry to keep you waiting.
Would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud, generate the link, and share that link with us for further investigation.

If you have the same issue, could you please answer the questions? Furthermore, you should never say: I use the latest version of this software, but you should always give exact version numbers. First, your software version may not be the latest, even if you think it is. Second, at latest with the next update, it is no more true. Every so often, the OS version is also important, so you should give here the exact version number too.

look at the date this was comment was made (today), look at the "most recent version of today"
Done.
"Furthermore" it is NOT fixed in the next version or the next or the next, evidently.
But hey, Adobe will charge us more (whether we want it or not) for Generative AI. Whoopeee.
But for the people needing a bread crumb trail...
