Hello,
I have a series of pdf files of architectural drawings which were created by another person. We need to repeatedly take measurements off the drawings. However, a measurement ratio was not embedded in the file when it was created. I know how to use the measurement tool to set a custom ratio based on the graphic scale bar in the drawing (i.e. 42.56 mm = 20 m). But everytime I open the drawing the ratio has been reset to 1mm = 1mm. Is there anyway to save my custom ratio in the pdf file so that when I reopen the file, that custom scale is now the default? I have tried setting the ratio, and saving the file which does not work. I've tried it with the Use Scale and Units... setting both enabled and disabled, and neither way works.
Does any one know a solution? Drawing will be used potentially 100s of times over months and resetting every time is just not workable.
Help!

Hi David
We are sorry for the trouble. As described you want to set the custom scale ratio as the default setting.
The default scale ratio is set by the application that created the PDF file. We dont have the option to change the default scale ratio setting as of yet. You may use the Adobe wish form https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html to submit your request with the engineering team.

Hope it will help.
Thanks
Amal
