I've tried un clicking online settings and I still can't save a pdf. I'm very frustrated.

Are you talking about these online settings for saving files? https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/blank-save-as-dialog-mac.html 

• On Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences > General. 
• Show online storage when opening files.

To further investigate the issue and share more inputs, please share the exact version of Acrobat installed. 

• Open Acrobat>help>About Acrobat (Win) and
• Click on Adobe Acrobat>About Adobe Acrobat (Mac)
