Search function cannot detect special characters

I am simply trying to find and replace some text strings in my PDF that contain colons and periods. However, the search function doesn't seem to work when I include these characters -- it finds 0 instances. It also cannot detect @ signs or slashes. If I use Advanced Search, it finds them just fine, but there's no option for find and replace in advanced search. This seems like a very basic function so I'm a little confused here, am I missing something?

Thanks for your help!

Just tried it and it worked fine. Can you share a sample file where you encounter this issue?

Sure, here's a sample page. I'm using version 2024.003.20180 for Mac, which is the latest version.

I tried the search in Acrobat for web, and it did work, however there does not seem to be a find and replace function in the web version so I'm still out of luck. Thanks so much for your help!

Works fine for me:

Note that because of the structure of PDF files the slashes are considered a part of the word that precedes them, but they are recognized and found when searching for them.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it's now working, although it's still acting weirdly -- it tells me there are no results but finds them anyway. Thanks!
