I have multiple invoices that need signing so combined into one document for ease of signer use and sent to Manager for each page to be signed. All signed the document came back however I am now unable to edit document back into individual invoices which is required for digital document storage system I am using. Security states password authentication had been set up by author. I am the author of the document and did not set this up. Anyway resent making sure that No Security was selected on document and same thing has happened. Any ideas? I can't ask my manager to open 30 emails a day for individual signing and I have to store digital docs in a specific way.

Signing is final. That’s fundamental since signing wraps up and protects the integrity of what was signed, so it can’t be tampered with. If you do manage to edit, the signature is destroyed. Above all a digital signature isn’t a mark on a page.

A digitally signed file can't be edited. That's one of the main purposes of a digital signature.

You could send the invoices as individual files in a portfolio. After signing, the files can be separated and saved independently.

Thanks Margueritek, I haven't had a chance to look at the portfolio option yet. I'll give it a try and let you know.

Thanks for the quick response try67.
My problem is that I don't want to alter the signature or page content but the document page layout instead. This would suggest that the digital signing feature is only suitable for layout complete documents.
Do you have any suggestions please? It was purchased to speed up the signing and converting to paperless storage of a large number of invoices. It doesn't sound as if this product is suitable. Unfortunately, on the free trial provided, you can't test the signing documents aspect, otherwise I would have discovered this before purchase and not proceeded.

Well, no, it is possible to fill in fields and add attachments to a signed file. Also possible for signing after a signature is already applied. What you can't do is change page content, or add or delete pages.
