Send Documents for Signature - Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020

New Here ,
Dec 03, 2021 Dec 03, 2021

Hello,

I found this guide:  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/send-for-signature.html

The top part says: Also Applies to Adobe Acrobat DC

To me, the word "also" means, that Adobe Acrobat DC is not the only Version to support this, right?

In the free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I can use this feature 2 times every 30 days.

If I want wo use it more than 2 times, do I have to buy the SaaS Adobe Acrobat DC or is this feature also part of the one-time purchase Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020?

best regards

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

For more information about the Acrobat pro 2020 please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/faq-acrobat-2020.html#Functionality and see if that works for you.

Hello,

with all due respect ... but your answer is as helpful as my two hours of searching goolge for answers. I already found that page you linked and many others, but all this sites tell the same story: pay us monthly to get all the good stuff. As a business owner I understand that, but all this marketing talking points do not help me answering my question.

I finally found this page:  https://blog.techsoup.org/posts/adobe-acrobat-pro-2020-vs.-adobe-acrobat-pro-dc

So it seems there is no need to pay monthly (unless I want it to be legally binding) because the one-time purchase Acrobat Pro 2020 supports "send documents for signature" as well.

Can you, or anyone else, confirm that before I waste 600 EUR in the case Acrobat Pro 2020 does NOT support this feature?

best regards

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. As mentioned in the Adobe hlp page shared above with a subscription to Acrobat Pro DC you can send documents for signatures.

So the Pro 2020 doesn´t even include the free 2 documents every 30 days?

And one last question: Without a paid subscription, I can´t remove the date und blue line of the signature?

Hi there

Both Classic and Continuous versions of Adobe Acrobat have differences in features. If you want to use the features of continuous version you may switch your plan.

Also for Adobe sign service , you need Adobe sign license available with continuous versions of the application.

The perpetual licenses don't include any subscription based services, which is an element of what the DC subscription pays for. The 2020 purchase price covers only the software you install, no services. It has to be that way, really - should Adobe provide perpetual subscription services for the one price? (Actually, I think they made that mistake with Acrobat XI and the acrobat.com service; which closed down, presumably because it couldn't show a profit stream).

Well if the free version does allow you to use 2 signatures every 30 days, why the perpetual can´t have e.g. 20 signatures every 30 days? I doesn´t have to be unlimited like the monthly subscription, but just have the option between almost nothing and unlimited is ... well ... not very satisfying to say at least.

And the fact, that I can´t remove the date, name and blue line ...(I think I can´t, but the question was ignored so far)

... is so unnecessary and just serves the purpose to push people to paid subscription. Very similar to Teamviewer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCRzaGUKEFA
