Send to email causes drawing tool to glitch?

I've run into a pretty odd situation here. When I first open a PDF I am able to use the Draw tool as normal to add markings to the document. Opening additional documents I have no issue using the Draw tool on any of those documents as well.

However, as soon as I click the Email icon in order to attach the PDF to Outlook and send it.. from that point forward the Draw tool no longer functions normally. Instead it only places small dots on the screen, instead of drawing properly. Click and hold-and-drag no longer works. I've tried turning the "Touch Mode" to "Never" in Preferences->General with no difference in behavior. Only if I completely close out Acrobat and then re-open it, the Draw tool functions as normal again.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Hi

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

Thanks for sharing the detailed information.

As mentioned at the end, closing and reopening the Acrobat functions as normal. Please try the steps suggested below:

1- Update the Acrobat to the most recent version. Open Acrobat>help>check for update 23.003.20284

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

2- Check with a different file and see if it happens with that as well. It could be a specific issue as well.

3- Uninstall the application and reinstall it using a cleaner tool, as it could be a possibility that the issue started after installing the update.

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat installer from here:

Thanks,

Akanchha
