Some Fields and data missing when I open a saved pdf

Community Beginner ,

I created a vba program in excel that opens an Adobe DC Pro form, fills fields with data, saves the PDF, and emails the PDF to a specific person.

When I open the saved PDF from the Adobe DC program, all fields and data appear.  When I open the PDF directly from the PDF file some fields and data do not appear until I change the zoom, page down to the next page, or I highlight the page.  I need this not to happen because it will confuse the recipient.  I have tried multiple settings, but it still happens.  I do have javascripts in many of the fields to make them read only if there is data in them.

Is there a fix for this problem?

I found the issue.

On the options tab for text fields is the option to "Scroll long text".  When I unchecked that option on my text fields where "Multi line text" was also unchecked...then my pdfs rendered correctly.

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the data in the fields appear on changing the zoom level

What is the version of trhe Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC

Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC v20.009.20067. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

Also, please try to reoair the installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that makes it better.

Also, please check for any missing/pending updates for video drivers and firmware and try updating them.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

I have the latest version, all updates are installed, and I did a repair.  The problem still happens.  It happens on other PCs also.

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. We need some more information for a better understanding

Are these PDF files stored on a shared network /drive? If yes please try to download the file locally to your computer and try opening them with Adobe Acrobat /Reader DC and check.

Also, please try to turn off the protected mode for testing. Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC (Mac) > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Turn Off the Protected Mode and uncheck the Enhanced Security > Click OK
Note: Please turn on the security after testing

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

I tried saving the pdfs to my desktop.  They still open without showing all the fields/data.

I tried turning off the Enhanced Security.  They still open without showing all the fields/data.

If I try to open them from the test email where the pdf is an attachment...they still open without showing all the fields/data.

If I open them directly from Adobe Pro...they are fine.

Also, the first pdf opened often displays correctly, but the pdfs opened next do not.

Thank you for your assistance.
