My version of Adobe Acrobat DC was updated over the weekend to version 2021.005.20058 and now when I attempt to export data from Stata to a pdf document the font is wrong, it is not the font that is specified in the script. How can this be fixed?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the font in the exported PDF is wrong since your application updated to version 21.05.20058.

Is this a behavior with a particular document or with all the documents? Please try with a different document and check.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF from Stata?  Please try to create the PDF from the file menu of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and see if that works for you.

Also, please update the application to the optional update available version 21.05.20060 (Win Only) from the help menu > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

They are using a single line of code to export the file(s) to pdf format.

Hi there

Please try to create the PDF from the file menu of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and see if that works for you. Also try to update the application to the new version available as suggested earlier and see if that helps.

Hi,

I do not know how the export works, but are they able to check if the fonts are being embedded or not?

If the font is not embedded then it may be that Acrobat does not have access to the font anymore and therfore has to replace it.
