Sticky Notes Problem Adding or Editing

Recently having problems whenever I try to add a sticky note or edit an existing sticky note. There is an @ symbol in the bottom left of the sticky note. After trying to add a note or edit, nothing will type and the document will self close. Tried multiple times to open a document and add or edit a sticky note. I have restarted my computer. I have the most recent version of Acrobat Reader DC (32 bit). I have a 64 bit computer... might that be the problem? Any one else with this problem?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As mentioned the application is closing when you try to add or edit the sticky note to the PDF file.
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check? If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer first and then try again.
I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end and its working fine.
Would you mind sharing the version of the OS and the application you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the Acrobat installation (Win Only) Go to Help > Repair installation.
Please try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only) Go to Edit > preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' Turn off the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.

Also please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there
