Every time I launch Acrobat for the first time, my PDF opens, but then the app freezes, with the spinning colored ball / wheel indicating it's trying to load something. Usually after ~20-30 seconds, it finally loads a message telling me to try merging files into one PDF (see screenshot below). This happens every time I launch Acrobat for the first time, so pretty much daily. How can I prevent Acrobat from trying to load this annoying message. I get how to merge multiple files into one PDF - I don't need the app to freeze for 20-30 seconds to remind me to try it.
Hi Chris-stratton
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described Every time you launch Acrobat for the first time, the app freezes, and then it loads a message telling you to try merging files into one PDF.
Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > General > Messages from Adobe > Uncheck 'Show me messages when i launch Adobe Acrobat' > Click OK and reboot the application.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards
Amal

Hey Amal, thanks for the quick reply, that appears to have done the trick! I'll keep you posted if the issue pops back up again.
