Why in God's name would anyone think that shrinking anyone's designs to fit as a default would make any sense? I am looking at yet another print job that needs to be trashed because I didn't check a new installation of Acrobat on my computer and REMOVE ALL OF YOUR INCREDIBLY STUPID DEFAULTS. Any graphic desinger who knows what the hell he or she is doing has already designed it to the correct size — AND WE DON'T NEED IT TO BE SMALLER! This has been an ongoing problem for too many years to count. PLEASE stop making things default to something that screws up every other print job because you keep cranking out crappier updates of the same stupidity. Just stop.

The setting you describe is “sticky” in the print dialog. Yes, the initial default is “fit” but once you change that, the value you set remains for the next print job.

Hope you feel better after venting!  😉
