Stop 'Sign In' prompt on launch of Acrobat Reader on macOS.

Almost every time  launch Acrobat Reader DC to fill and sign a PDF form, I'm pestered to sign in before I can do anything. This is very annoying and completely unnecessary. Acrobat Reader is free, so there shouldn't be any requirement to sign in to use it.

So, how can I stop that permanently?

Hi @Arlen307610576d6d

Sorry to hear about your frustrating experience.

This is correct that Acrobat Reader is a free application, and to view or open a pdf file it doesn't require sign-in details. Unless,

  • The PDF form you have received is saved on Document Cloud or any other Cloud storage. If you don't sign in to the application, it won't let you open the PDF form.
  • Try opening a PDF file saved locally on your computer and try to fill and sign it. It would not ask for Sign In details.

If this is not the case, then here's the solution that you need to check https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-reader-dc-keeps-asking-for-login/td-p/127...

Thanks,

Akanchha

The solution you linked to cannot work; it's for Windows, and as my
question clearly states, I'm using macOS.

Let's find a solution for the actual problem I described.

Still waiting for a solution for this problem that Adobe created. This has nothing to do with any PDF files saved in "the cloud."
