Have created a simple interactive pdf form. Works fine stand alone. Submit will not work when it is embeded in browser window. If the pdf is downloaded onto the computer or emailed to someone it works fine. At the same time the clear form and print buttons work just fine. How can I correct this?

I agree this is a bad situation, but it's out of the control of Adobe if someone (Google, in this case) has developed and distributed a faulty piece of software that can open PDF files. Basically, there's nothing that can be done about it, except for adding a warning into the file itself that will only show up if it opened in Chrome, or some other 3rd-party application.

1. Instruct your users to save the file and open it locally using Adobe Reader for it to work correctly.
2. Complain to the developers of the PDF plugin used in the browser and ask them to fix their software so that it complies with the PDF ISO standard.

Wishing it were that simple. On many browsers, Google Chrome in particular, even when the pdf form is downloaded, it still opens in the browser window unless the person using the form is skilled enough to go to the download location. The range of people who will use the form ranges from kids to seniors. Many of them will be confused.
