Suddenly won't save combined files

New Here ,
Oct 09, 2017 Oct 09, 2017

Suddenly after successfully combining and editing a file when I go to save a black "Save As PDF" box pops up and I am unable to save. Sometimes another box also pops up and says, "AcroCEF Helper cannot be opened because of a problem."

I am nervous to delete and reinstall because I use this application heavily.

Hi Nmpinto,

As per the description above, you are getting a Blank "Save As" option in Acrobat Pro DC as well as an error of AcroCEF helper cannot be opened, Is that correct?

For the Blank "Save As" option, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

navigate to Edit>Preferences>General

deselect these two options:

  • Show online storage when opening files.
  • Show online storage when saving files.

If the issue still persists, please try to repair the installation files of Acrobat from Help>Reapir Installation.

Also check for any pending updates of Acrobat from Help>Check for updates.

Hope this helps, and keep us posted with  the results.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
