Text boxes unable to edit or shift after adding a custom stamp to document

Community Beginner ,

Hi, I',m using the Acrobat Pro * I added text boxes to my pdf documents. But i noticed that after i put a custom stamp, all the text boxes are "locked" & cannot be edited or shift (when my cursor hover over those text boxes, it doesn't show the dotted boxes that allows me to edit or shift the position). Does anyone know what's the reason for this? Thanks!

Custom stamps have nothing to do with what you've described, so something else is going on.

Please provide a detailed description of what you mean by " I added text boxes to my pdf documents".

There are several things in a PDF that are commonly referred to as "text boxes".

Hi, I have taken a screenshot of the "Add Text" in a pdf document.

Screenshot 1 : Adding text to the pdf document.

Screenshot 2 : When my hover over it, a dotted box appear around the text, allowing me to edit the text or shift the location of the text box.

Screenshot 3 & 4 : After i added a custom stamp (a tick), i can no longer edit the text or shift the position of the text UNLESS i click on "edit" & you can see that what is supposed to be 4 text boxes, has been combined into 1 text box.

Hi, what do you mean by what happens when i edit/change the text? If before I add the stamp, editing or shifting the text has no issue. But if after I add the stamp, i have to click on the "edit" icon shown in Screenshot 4. I can still edit the text but if i were to shift the text, if there are line beneath the text will get shifted too (please refer to screenshot 5 & 6).

Looks like that Acrobat assume that the line is part of the text.

Probably... Before i place any stamps, I don't have this issue. But i noticed that somehow after i place a stamp, all the text boxes are uneditable unless i click on the "edit" button which allows me to shift everything in the form...

You are adding Page Content. To do that, or to edit Page Content, Acrobat has to be in "PDF Edit" mode.

When you added the stamp. Acrobat changed modes.  To re-edit the text, select the "PDF Edit" tools.

This is how Acrobat is supposed to work.

Sorry for not knowing how Acrobat is supposed to work. But as i have explained earlier & not sure if you looked at the screenshot that i have provided, yes I can re-edit the text via the PDF edit but if the text is on a line & i attempt to shift the text, the line gets shifted together with the text...
