Can someone help please?
While editing a PDF created in powerpoint's pdf, suddenly half of the text in most of the pages dissappeared, or turned another color. This happened AFTER already editing some pages for an hour.
Now when I open acrobat it does not show some text in other documents too.
What has happened? and how can I fix it?
I have windows 10, and acrobat pro dc.

Also having the same problem. Macbook Pro M4 Max running macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 (recently updated) and Acrobat Pro 2025.001.20432. This issue just started happening recently (possibly after updating macOS?). Attached a screenshot, this PDF was displaying properly before, now it's not displaying any text, only images.

Attached is one of the files that's not working for me. I did some more sleuthing, and it's not all pdfs that are having this issue. I am experiencing issues mostly with recipes that I printed to PDF from online. Since the online pdf viewer is working, I opened the recipe attached here online, and tried printing to pdf from there, and the newly generated pdf could not be displayed in the desktop version of Acrobat. So, the issue is reproduceable in that sense. I went back and it looks like all the examples posted in this thread are pdfs with bulleted lists or other types of indented formatting. Not sure if that's relevant to whatever is creating the issue?

Okay, the issue definitely seems related to bulleted lists. Attached is another file that doesn't display that I just created by searching for "bulleted lists" and printing a random webpage that contained bulleted formatting. The first time I noticed the desktop Acrobat wasn't working was Sat 3/15, and I use it fairly regularly, so it was sometime last week (before the recent Mac Sequoia update) that it stopped working.

Same for me. Last week Acrobat did an auto update (stupid me forgot to turn that off) and now some of the text in my Adobe XD exported PDFs do not show up in Acrobat. Some of the text shows up, so I figured it was a font issue which is odd because I have been using the same 3 fonts for the past 2 years on my projects. I changed the fonts to another font and it showed up. However that is not a solution for me, the developers need to see the correct fonts to use in my UI designs. I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat and restarted my computer and nothing worked. Been using Adobe products since 1996, and it's always something. So far my solutions is to compile my XD made PDFs in Acrobat and view them in Preview.

This is the exact issue I am having. I just updated to macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 today as well. Unfortunaltely, I did not attempt to open the file before updating, however, I am pretty confident I had no issues last week.

FYI - The issue for me was happening before updating Sequoia. After all else failed to correct the problem, I updated my OS to see if maybe by some fluke that would help, but it neither resolved the problem nor made it worse. I also uninstalled, rebooted, then re-installed Acrobat after the OS update, but that didn't resolve the issue either. Just want to point this out, since the issue is not related to any Mac OS updates on my end of things.

That looks just like my B of A credit card statement! Like you, this just started happening to me and it would be nice to be able to see the numbers!

FWIW: I just uninstalled Acrobat Pro DC from my Macbook, and downloaded the web version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, and that version is having the same exact problem.

Same - I use Acrobat Pro DC from my MacBook Pro, and the problem described in the thread prevents me from reviewing and signing documents for my clients. I hope this can be resolved soon!

I'm having the same issue with PDF files I've downloaded--billing statements. I've installed a different PDF viewer and the text is visibile with no issues. I have no accessiblity optons enabled. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat and rebooted my laptop. This seems to have started recently--within the last month.
For now, I've had to print to PDF from a browser window for the text to show up. But that's not a good option going forward.
My system: MacBook Pro M1 chipset; OS Sequoia 15.3.2

One more item to add--I tried uploading the files to the web version of Acrobat and they show the text with no isuses. So this seems to be a problem with the Acrobat desktop version.

I've just noticed this issue as well. For what it's worth, I've noticed that when I create my own pdfs all the text is visible. It's only when I view files created by someone else that the invisible text occurs.

Same problem with documents missing information. Started yesterday? Unfortunately it is my bank statement and I am not going to send that to you. 😀 I can see the company Logo and lots of lines across the page (divisions between the missing information). Most pdf's are still opening correctly.

What would be really useful is to let us go back a version to when there was no issue and then work on the fix in your own time so to keep the disruption to a minimum. As far as i can see on CC there is currently no way to go back a version. We have clients requesting pdfs from last year complaining to us that they are no longer working and there is nothing we can do about it and Adobe are not giving any timeline as to when these 'future updates' will be released. Not great!
