I figured out a work around. Open the PDF in preview on your mac. Then save as a PDF. I was able to view the text by doing this. Not sure how this worked, but it allowed me to continue with working on my PDF.

Same thing = did a test. I sent a pdf with this issue to myself and opened it on my old Macbook 2015 using Adobe Acrobat 2024.004. something (not the same version on my newer Macbook Pro.) All the text appears just fine on the old Macbook using Adobe Reader.
So...is this an Adobe Acrobat/Reader issue or an issue with MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 ? Or a combination?
I used an alternative pdf reader on my Macbook Pro and all the text appears just fine.
For me, this all started a few days ago after running an update to MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2.

It may be an issue with Mac Sequoia now that you mention it. My Macbook Pro did an update this morning, and I just noticed this issue since then. This is a big problem. So do we go to Apple for a fix??

Deleted Adobe Acrobat Reader and reinstalled, ran the update to 2025.001.20438 and the issue seems resolved.

I'm having a related issue with free Reader version 2025.001.20432 on a Mac Mini M4, Sequoia 15.4.  It appears to affect some bank statements from one bank.

In Finder, the document preview appears normal. In Acrobat, there is some information (Bank logo, FDIC logo, last page has phone #'s in case of errors in Electronic Transfers, and some graphics of lines and boxes for tables) visible, but no usable content.  Clicking "Check for Updates" brings up a dialog that says Updater is Already Running.

Is there a fix?

Additional info. All data in the document is visible when opened in Preview.

Further update: the text is there, can be selected, modified, copied and pasted and is visible in the .txt document I paste it into.

So a font problem???
