Version information:
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
Continuous release | Version 2019.010.20069
Version File Version: 19.010.20069.49826
AGM Version: 4.030.00083
CoolType Version: 5.014.00037
Core Version: 19.2560
JP2K Version: 1.002.00002.42216
Background: I create multiple PDFs using the print (plot) feature inside AutoCAD 2019. All files are created with the same version of Acrobat DC Pro. The original PDFs look good. See (A) below. When I select the files (4 in this case) to be combined, I keep seeing a "Replacing Font" progress bar and the resultant PDF is what you see in (B) below.
Issue: My documents are often Missing Text when I select multiple files in my Windows Explorer and select "Combine Files in Acrobat..." (SEE IMAGE).
NOTE: The image below is not the full document, only an example. The two sections (A) & (B) are from the same page, just before and after "Combine Files in Acrobat...".
Questions: Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a known bug? Can it be fixed with a setting?

Hi
Do you have Smaller File size preference on in your Combine > Options?
If yes, can you try with Default File Size option (the center one) and let us know if that fixes things for you ?
Thanks

Nobody has anything? Do I need to provide more info? Was I not clear?
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi RobertHaydenCo,
Sorry for the delay in response.
Would you mind updating the application to the latest version released recently?
Check if you still experience the issue.
If the issue persists, would it be possible for you to share the sample document? We would like to replicate the issue at our end.
To share the file, use the steps provided here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud
You may also share the file in a private message How Do I Send Private Message
Also, share the OS version on your machine.
We will be waiting for your response.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Meenakshi

Thanks for your response. Before my original post, I verified the Adobe Version was up to date; it appeared it was up to date. After your post I did the same and was able to update to Version 2019.010.20091. At the same time I was completing the update for Adobe, Windows Update required a reboot. So I did that as well. Additionally, I verified my AutoCAD software is also up to date.
After my system reboot, I opened up the same files, ran the Combine feature again, and got the same results. Then, I opened up my AutoCAD, replotted all (4) files to try the Combine feature once again with new PDFs, but still have the same issue.
If you will send me an email from your Adobe account (not the forums_noreply email) and you can guarantee the confidentiality of my documents, then I will send you what I have.

Take a look here for a potential workaround:

I appreciate your response, Karl. Not to diminish what you've accomplished, I already have a workaround that seems much simpler than what you've proposed. I was really looking for a fix, to avoid the workrounds.

Karl, I submitted my workaround to your Blog Post. I hope you find it worthy of posting. To me it is the most logical solution, but if it isn't, I'd like to know. Thanks.

We have a WINNER!!! Thank you so much, TanviRastogi
The issue was the File Size; originally set to Smaller File Size, the combine feature was removing those characters.
Now Set as Default File Size, everything comes through clearly.
