Timestamp and name for comments

Guest

Hello,

I am commenting on and marking up a PDF and I am done with the comments. But, I need to remove both my name and the timestamp from the comments. I tried mass-selecting them, but every time I do this Adobe freezes/stops responding and I have to force quit it. Does anyone know a better strategy or if there's a built-in way in Acrobat to remove name/timestamps from comments?

Thank you in advance.

To anonymize all the comments with a single click you can use this free tool I've created:

https://www.try67.com/tool/acrobat-reader-anonymize-comments-free

And you can't remove the creation date, only the last modified date.

Hello,

Thank you. I have downloaded the Javascript but I'm not sure exactly how to use it... I input it in the Javascript module but then nothing happens. Could you guide me a bit further into how the script is used?

Thank you!

It should appear under Tools - Add-On Tools, like this:

If you're not seeing it make sure the Preferences are set as described, and also that "Enable Protected Mode" and "Enable Enhanced Security" are ticked OFF under the "Security (Enhanced)" tab of the Preferences dialog.
