I am using PKCS#12 token for signing, which is now rule in EU. Using signature stored in Windows is forbidden.
Every other SW, incl. other PDF SW is working normally and reading the signature from government and EU licenced smart card and e-signature. But my new Acrobat DC do not.
I have found nothing on that in the Acrobat help, just general short article, according which it should work: PKCS#12 modules and tokens You can have multiple digital IDs that you use for different purposes, particularly if you sign documents in different roles or using different certification methods. Digital IDs are usually password protected. They can be stored on your computer in PKCS #12 file format. Digital IDs can also be stored on a smart card, hardware token, or in the Windows certificate store. Roaming IDs can be stored on a server. Acrobat includes a default signature handler that can access digital IDs from various locations. Register the digital ID in Acrobat for it to be available for use.
So I have no clue how to use government and EU prescribed card with e-signature for signing. Therefore I have to use now other PDF SW for signing.
Does anybody have idea what to do with this issue?

Hi Davidn,
Sorry for the delay in response.
If you are using government and EU licensed smart card or token, you will need to first register your Digital ID in Acrobat DC.
Please refer to the steps mentioned under "Register a digital ID" in the following help document:
Check if that helps.
Let us know if you experience any issue.

Hello Meenaksi,
Thank you for the answer, it has helped while dealing with the issue.
I've also contacted the online help, they suggest arrange phone call with me. But then we decided not to call yet, because I've found out other way how to sing using the certified card.
However, I do not know if this is the correct way. No authority complained to my signature using Acrobat DC, but I am not sure.
When I've tried your suggested way, there is a bug notice. See attachment. So you now show me the right way, but it does not work. The seller of the card - government company provide no support, only text on the website. But in any other SW it work properly, exept Acrobat DC.
To sum up, I can sign using the Acrobat DC, but I am still not sure if the signature is in compliance with the EU/government rules.
Best regards
David
