I have a table with column and row headers in an accessible PDF.

What do I name and tool tip the check boxes. Or do I call them check box 1, 2, 3 etc.

Assisistive technolgy use the tool tip information, therefore this is the important part. I would call them "green car", "blue truck", etc.

To check and fix the tab order you rely on the name information, so you're able to recognize the form fields. However, only you can see the name information.
