Hi,

I'm trying to copy a digital signature from a desktop PC to a laptop.  I follow the instructions found relating to Edit->Preferences->Signatures->export, which saves the file with a .fdf extension.  When I go to add that to the instance of Adobe Standard on a laptop, the Browse feature only recognized .p12 and .pfx formats.

Help, Please?

I'm trying to export a self-signed digital signature that an end-user created in an instance of Adobe Standard on her desktop PC, but now wants on her laptop PC.  Working in a Microsoft Active Directory environment, I tried setting the user up with a roaming profile in the hopes that her preferences and saved settings in her desktop environment would duplicate over to her laptop...that did not occur.

When I use the Edit/Preferences/Signatures/Export feature in Adobe Standard, it creates a file with a .fdf extension...fine, great, seems promising.  When I go to the other unit, the laptop and try to import that Digital Signature from a File, the only file types it recognizes are .p12 or .pfx.

Thanks

This feature will only export the public key of the certificate.

Look for the .pfx files in the application data of the user.

That would really break the whole world of digital signatures - if people could get certificates out of signed documents, and then use them to sign, then there would be no security at all...
