Trying to move entire sections of music

Im trying to move entire sections of music, but it will only move the notes on the music staff and not the music staff itself. It used to move the whole staff, but now it doesnt do it. Any help people can give would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry, but the kind of editing you're trying to do is way beyond the capabilities of editing in Acrobat Pro. It's best when you want to fix someone's name, adjust a spelling error, or change a date. But wholesale moving parts like that is just not possible.

One thing you might try is if you have Adobe Illustrator, that "might" be possible. However, it also depends on how the PDF was constructed. If it was constructed as a "flat" document (no layers), you might again be out of luck.

I can think of two other options: export it as a Word document. If you do not have Word, you can open a Word document in Pages. However, I'm not at all certain this will work, but it's worth a try.

One last option is to take screenshots of the music and paste them into a Word/Pages document. (To do a screenshot on a Mac, press Command-Option-3; you'll see a small bullseye and you can marquee from one side to the other. The screenshot will appear on the desktop as a PNG document.

The funny thing is I have been doing this for hours and it has let me move the entire sections, then all of a sudden it will no longer do it. That's what has me baffled

I even went back to one of the PDFs that it allowed me to do it on and it still lets me move the entire section

Hmm, has it been on the exact same page that you could do this and then not?
