Typing "Please" in Fill & Sign now crashes Acrobat

New Here ,
Dec 27, 2018 Dec 27, 2018

This just started, 2019.010.20065 is my current version. I click fill & sign and begin typing, in most cases it auto populates below some suggested inserts. In nearly every other case I select a suggested and move on however when type "Pleas" the box pops up as if its about to show me some suggested and it freezes for one second and than crashes the application. My thought is I have too many suggested options as I do frequently start sentences with PLEASE . I have been working for over an hour using the suggested and its only "Pleas" at this point I have seen crash it.

I click on preferences and forms and the word NO is selected w/ no check mark in the box to the right.  Any ideas? How would I clear the current suggested? Bummer if I have to do this.

Hi richardalan1975,

Sorry for the issue that you are facing while using Adobe Acrobat Reader. We have made some fixes around this area. I request you to please update to the latest version 2019.010.20069 and let us know if you are still able to reproduce the crash.

If yes, I would request you to kindly share the Crash dumps when Reader Crashes for you.

Here is how you can collect the crash dump :

When Reader Crashes (If you get this error message "Adobe Reader has stopped working") , Can you please share with us the Crash Logs .

For Getting the Crash Logs:

a.      When Acrobat Reader Crashes , Open Windows Task Manager

b.      -> Got To Processes, There you can see a process "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" / AcroRd32.exe

c.      Right Click on this process and click "Create Dump File"

d.      Dump file will be created in the Temp folder of user (as specified on the dialog you get after creating dump files).

e.      Save this DMP file on any Cloud Storage and Share the link for that with us on mail at sagrover@adobe.com

We will try to analyze your issue on priority once you share this information with us.

Regards,

Sandeep Grover
