Unable to generate .pdf file in Acrobat Distiller from Zebra .prn file output

Hello Adobe Community,

I need your help in creating a pdf file from a Zebra Designer .PRN file output to PDF using Acrobat Distiller (Software version 3018.101)

Printer driver = ZDesigner ZTC ZT610-600dpi ZPL Ver 5.1.16.6924

The artwork is very simply (literally 1 line of text) and I'm still unable to generate a pdf using Distiller.

Here is the error that is being reported when the pdf conversion fails:

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: CT~~CD,~CC^~CT~ ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Please let me know if you have any questions - or if there is more information that I can provide on my specific scenario

Looking forward to your responses and a hopeful resolution

Sincerely,

Mike F.

PS. I tried uploading my .prn file for reference and it woudn't let me 😞

Distiller can only do one thing: Convert PostScript to PDF. Not every PRN file is a PostScript file (actually, there is a pretty good chance that most are not PS files). The error message indicates that what you are trying to process is not PostScript - unless it's corrupt. I would open up the application that produced this file and then print to the Adobe PDF printer. This will make sure that a PostScript file is generated first and then handed off to Distiller.

Thank you for your feedback Karl, you raise a very good point that I didn't consider - .prn file is not technically a post script file.
