That typically happens when you try to open a AEM/LiveCycle Designer PDF in a browser. You will "Please wait..." forever.
Download the PDF to your computer. Open it directly from Acrobat and not through the browser.

Is there any way to open this on a Chromebook?
We only have Chromebooks unfortunately and these documents won't open even if uploaded here in the Adobe online account. With the Android Adobe Reader either. Only Windows, Mac and Linux support it seems.
Much thanks !

No, only Mac and Windows. There was a Linux reader years ago too, but is was discontinued over a decade ago.

Please show a screenshot that shows the Acrobat window with this message. Be sure we can see both the message and the Acrobat window/title bar.

I just downloaded it (again) and it opens fine. Make sure you are not trying to open it through a browser.

Hi David, first of all, thanks for your help, however, after doing everything that you recommend I still obtain the same result. Do you know if there is another solution to this huge problem, because, those types of documents are so important if you want to do anything for immigration (Travel, work, study, etc.)? The Adobe community is the only solution that Adobe recommend and does not work also! Could you help me please?

Yes, I am having a similar problem. I did manage to open the form on Adobe but wouldn't allow me to validate. It says javascript is disabled and gives me how to enable it but wouldn't work. Help please!!!

Yes, I have the same issue. Now, I also downloaded the PDF reader, it can open the downloaded application forms. But the pro doesn't work.

Moreover, I can use a PDF reader to open the forms such as imm5257 which I had downloaded on my laptop. So does a Foxit reader.

Assuming we are talking about the same form from over two years ago, it will work with Pro. I only use Acrobat Pro.

The best way around it is to download the document and open it directly through Adobe Acrobat Pro on your computer instead of through the browser.

Hello, I have the same issue but worse: I cannot open the PDF file because I cannot download the latest version of Acrobat Reader, I get the message that my Mac needs to be 10.15 and mine is 10.14.6. What are we supposed to do, buy a new Mac just to open their form? I would be grateful for any tips/help about what I could do to open this document on my Mac, thank you in advance!

When dealing with immigration paperwork, it’s also worth checking if you’ll need any of your documents, like a birth certificate, apostilled. A birth certificate apostille is sometimes required for certain official processes, especially if you’re submitting documents internationally.

That has nothing to do with the technical Adobe question originally asked.
