Hello. In ~ 2012, I purchased a physical copy (disc) for Adobe Acrobat 9 pro which I've used successfully for years, though I've since lost my install disc - for which I do have a software key. After attempting to download and install the software using a link for "older software versions" provided by Adobe Support forums after an exhaustive search of its Support forums, I've been unable to open the software. Rather, I receive an error message stating, "Licensing for this product has stopped working." Thereafter, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, none of which have corrected the problem.
.
As an aside, I'm attempting to download and install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (NOT THE EXTENDED VERSION) TO MY Dell N7010 64 bit laptop pc running Windows 10.
Recently, I read that Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro may not be compatible with Windows 10. If that's true, I was wondering if I may be able to download and install the software and run it in a compatibility mode setting it to an older version of Windows (XP, Windows 7, etc.). Nevertheless, despite what I've read regarding Windows 10 compatibility, I was in fact able to download and install the software which provides full functionality on my Lenovo 50-80 64 bit laptop pc running Windows 10, which is the only license/device I'm using my software on. It's my understanding that I am permitted to download and install Acrobat 9 Pro on two PCs.
A search of my registered software on my Adobe user account reveals that in fact my product has been successfully registered, though it does not reveal what PCs it may be associated with. Having purchased several PCs since purchasing Acrobat 9 Pro, it is possible that my software may be registered to an old PC for which I no longer own. If that is the case, I wish only to use my software license for two PCs - my Lenovo 50-80 laptop and my Dell N7010 Laptop. If in the event that my software license is being utilized on any other devices besides the two aforementioned, I authorize Adobe to terminate its use on any other devices beyond the two listed herein - an option I've been unable to locate and/or manipulate myself.
If the above option is not possible, I hopeful that, as a loyal Adobe customer for several years, Adobe Support will either provide me with a viable solution for downloading and installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my Dell N7010 64 bit Windows 10 laptop pc. Alternatively, if the software is to remain incompatible with my pc, I am hopeful that Adobe will provide me with a commensurate Acrobat that is compatible with my PC and OS. In fact, desirous of purchasing other (new) Adobe software, before I do so Adobe must prove to me to be as loyal to me in supporting my issue as I have been loyal to it by purchasing other Adobe software solutions, including - for a time - Adobe Creative Cloud's software suite. If, on the other hand, Adobe cannot, or will not support my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro software, I will be forced to seek other PDF software solutions form non-Adobe makers, a travesty I truly hope to avoid because I do genuinely LOVE Adobe's software programs, which I've grown to not only thoroughly enjoy, but from a its trusted, dedicated support for its products over the years..
Please provide me with response (and alternative) as soon as possible.
In closing, I wish to thank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter. You may feel free to contact me via email or phone call:

you can usually use compatibility mode to install though you can expect some problems because your os isn't compatible. also acrobat 9's not up-to-date and has security issues.
after uninstalling, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
