Unable to print all text inside a text box with scroll bar

I have a form with a large text box field in which my users type many lines of text. When they attempt to print the document, the text inside the text box (with the scroll bar) does not print in its entirety. I either need to figure out a way to have the entire text box print or create a form in which my users can type hundreds of lines of text continuously and ensure that it all prints. Any suggestions? I am a brand new user and know there has to be a way to accomplish this. Thanks!!

The only way to readily accomplish this goal is to define the text field to have its Font Size as Auto. This varies the size of the font within the text field such that all typed text fits within the defined physical field size and you get no scroll bars. Of course, the down side to this is that if you have a prolific responder, the text will shrink in size until it might be somewhat unreadable. And if you are referring to hundreds of lines of text, that certainly will strain that Auto font size function. And hundreds of lines of text in a text box on a particular page will certainly not print on a single page.

Actually, I found a form that does exactly what I want. The state of MN has a court form that has a small, one line text box, but as you type, the box increases in size/adjusts to fit the amount of text. Then when you print the form, all the text is included. I downloaded their form thinking I could re-engineer mine based on their properties, but their's is locked. So, now I guess I know that it can be done the way I want, but still don't know how to do it.

They may use some scripting to accomplish that.

Another possibility is that this isn't a true PDF form at all, but rather a form that was created by the now discontinued Adobe LiveCyle Designer. It had a dynamic form capability and generated a form format, XFA, that externally looks like a PDF file and may be opened and filled by Acrobat and Reader (but not the Mobile Reader for iOS and Android), but not edited  by Acrobat. The XFA format has been deprecated and even if you could get a copy of LiveCycle Designer, you would be creating a PDF file that has little support going forward.
