I and several coworkers have to recreate PDF documents in different applications. My coworkers and I are using adobe acrobat pro. My version is 2023.001.20143 64 bit. My coworkers version is 2023.001.20143.
When they select text and then choose the color option it will show them the RGB codes. When I do the same thing it does not show the codes (see attachments). I have followed the suggestions of many web articles about how to see these codes but none have worked (ie. ctrl E to bring up properties bar) - nothing seems to show the RBG codes like it does for my coworkers when they select the text and click the COLOR square - mine always has 0's.
Would anybody be able to guide me on why this is happening and how to fix it so I can easily see the RGB codes of any font color in Adobe Acrobat Pro?

Are you selecting text that is black or some other color?

Hi Gary28407700u5mn,
Thank you for reaching out.
We did try to replicate the behavior, and it works fine on our end.
Would you mind sharing the test file with us?
Did you check if it happens with other PDFs?
Share the OS version number.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Attached is a sample file but keep in mind this happens on all pdf files for me. My coworkers adobe acrobat pro works as expected as they can highlight colored text and see the RGB values.
I am hoping somebody can tell me if there is a configuration option I am missing, or maybe the version I have is slight different.
My coworkers adobe they have a typical menu bar at the top with file, edit, etc. I do not have that. I have 3 horizontal lines in the upper left and a house.
I just figured it out trying to get a screen shot for you.
There was an option in the 3 bar menu titled "disable adobe experience". When I chose that it required me to shutdown and open adobe but it is NOW working as my coworkers.
Who would have guessed the "adobe experience" would have such drawbacks.

Thank you so much! I've been pulling my hair out. I would have never thought to disable "the new Acrobat"! I looked to see if I had missed an update or something. But didn't think of that.
