Unable to type in PDF file

Within Acrobat, once the file is open, I am unable to type within it, neither Fill & Sign, or Edit work.  The cursor blinks, but nothing comes up when I type.  In Fill & Sign, it recongnises there are editable fields, but won't do anything.  The security is all allowed with no restrictions and my membership is up to date and valid.  Acrobat is the primary program to open PDF files.  I cannot figure out why?  Please help.

Hi @PDFooked Off Are you trying to add text and sign a PDF form that was sent to you by someone else or downloaded from an outside source or are you the creator of the form? I assume you are using the latest version of Acrobat DC (21.0) but what is your OS? Is this only happening with this particular PDF file or with any form you open?

Hi Jain, the form is from an outside source, that has been downloaded onto my system.

 

Currently running the Core Version 21.1792.

 

Operating system Windows 10 Version 21H1.

 

It is happening with any form that I open.
