Unable to uninstall Acrobat Pro DC

Community Beginner ,
Jul 12, 2017 Jul 12, 2017

I have Acrobat DC via the Creative Cloud desktop app on my Windows 7 Machine. Something corrupted and I tried to uninstall it. It won't let me uninstall via the CC Desktop app, it just claims its uninstalled and then go back to saying up to date. I have uninstalled my entire CC Desktop suite, ran the CC cleaner more than once, rebooted more than once, deleted manually every adobe directory on my computer from all the appdata directories, program files, program files x86 and programdata directories. I have tried to run the Acrobat DC cleaner, but it just freezes and the log freezes every time at the line

Info : Preparing to delete Registry value : Key:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Components\84AC706F233C9204FAA893DB6F19C24D  value:

I have tried multiple time to run it and it freezes right there every time.

I have even tried to reinstall Acrobat DC via the website and CC desktop and neither will let me as it thinks its already installed. What I need at this point is to know where CC Desktop is storing the data of what is installed so that I can nuke it and do a clean install.

I'm an IT Director, so I have no problem dealing with registry entries, database entries or anything else that is required to deal with this issue.

Thank You

So in the end, I was shown where the offline installer was for Adobe and tried to install it. That led to new issues that were being caused by a corrupted MST file. I had the installer create a log file that gave me the CLSID for Adobe DC pro. With that I was able to use the Microsoft Fixit Uninstaller utility to remove all the associated keys. I then also removed the associated installer directory. Once that was done, the offline installer was finally able to run and once installed Creative Cloud went back to working normally and I am now able to use my Acrobat DC Pro once again.

i don't see where you said that, but using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
