Hello, I recently noticed something between two of my devices, in both I have installed Acrobat Reader, but in one the background update process is called "Adobe Acrobat Update Service (32 bits)" and on the other device it is called ", it is called ", Acrobat update service (32 bits), why could this be? Are they different versions? Or is there anything else?

Hi,
I am not sure why there are 2 different names. If I were to guess, the software was installed at different times.
I would recommend that uninstall both to install instead the 64bit versions. End of support on 32-bit operating systems (adobe.com)

There's no reason to uninstall the 32-bit apps or install the 64-bit apps. "End of support on 32-bit operating systems" means exactly that, the operating system not the app - many people are trapped into reading this as meaning the 32-bit app is at end of support.

From the linked page: "Is there a plan to stop new Acrobat 32-bit installations?
No. The Acrobat (32-bit) installers are available for download but will not be tested or supported on 32-bit operating systems."

There was a simple branding change in the most recent Updater version. The new name is "Acrobat Update Service"
You can compare armsvc.exe file versions and file descriptions in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0
Wait a few days and older version will self-update..
There is no functional difference.
