weird scrolling issue

Hi, I have Acrobat XI on Windows 10. An issue has developed when I try to scroll documents with the physical keyboard arrows or with the soft arrow buttons above and below the scroll bar: the scroll bar handle moves up or down as it should, but the document itself jumps hysterically in place ant does not move up or down.

Navigating one page at a time, for instance with the PgUp / PgDn keyboard keys, works fine.

Also, the Enable scrolling in single page view button is always highlighted and it cannot be toggled off. Ditto with the View > Page display > Enable scrolling menu item.

This same copy of Acrobat used to work fine on the same laptop, this is fairly new. Also, most PDFs are affected, but not all.

I tried Repair Acrobat installation in the Help menu. It fixed a minor issue but not the main issue. Acrobat came preinstalled when I purchased my Lenovo workstation so I don't have DVDs to reinstall from scratch.

I looked everywhere on forums but I could not find anything that addresses this specific issue. Thank you for any feedback!

I am wondering if maybe this is a video driver issue, and not an Acrobat one.  Does this occur with any other program?  Scrolling entails big screen refreshes quickly.  Also, maybe try opening the same file in the free Acrobat Reader to see if that behaves the same or differently.  Video drivers are updated from time to time, and could be the culprit.  Just a thought.

My best,

Dave

I updated my Nvidia discrete GPU's driver on your advice, and that partially resolved the issue. The Enable scrolling controls still don't work, but pages scroll now, not super smoothly but they do scroll.

Why the GPU driver was the issue when Acrobat doesn't even use the GPU is a little beyond me, but now pages are scrolling so I'm going to leave good enough alone

Thank you Dave!
