When Converting PDF to Word, Saved Document Opens

New Here ,

New PC quirks!  When I convert a PDF document to Word and save it, the converted document automatically opens in Word, rather than just saving. I need both .pdf and .docx files, but don't need the newly created Word doc to auto open.  Any ideas?

My screen grab was from the current Windows Acrobat DC version...

It should be there whther you use "File > Export As", or "File > Save As"

Can you show a screen shot of your export dialog box?

When you Export as Word, uncheck "Open File after export"

Thank you for your reply.  I've looked for where I can uncheck the box, to no avail.  Where is it?

Ooops.. sorry, it's now labelled as "View Result". Uncheck that in your "Export" dialog...

Thanks for the detailed answer.  I don't have that "view result" option to uncheck.  Maybe it matters that I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

Thanks for all of your help. Found it...finally!  It was at the very top of the box rather than below.

I really appreciate you taking the time.
