No, that's not where it appears. Open the file in Reader and look under File - Properties - Description.

This is an internal function of Microsoft, not related to Adobe.

If you Adobe Acrobat then you should use the Adobe PDFMaker plugin via the Acrobat ribbon to create your files.

Thank you for letting me know. I just tried publishing from Acrobat Ribbon on Word and from Acrobat itself Acrobat>Tools>Create PDF. No luck! When you try it did it work? Were you able to see the title name on file properties?

When I say file properties I mean where you see the documents' name, date modified, type, size listed etc.. in the file.

You can also have Acrobat show the PDF's title in the file's Tab (instead of the file's name) by going to File>Properties, click on the Initial View tab, and changing the Show option to Document Title.  You'd have to save the file, close & re-open to see the result.
